Manila | Manila Skyline From Astoria Plaza

MANILA | Manila Skyline
As Seen From Astoria Plaza, Ortigas

It has become as regular fitting for a team building activity, that instead of going somewhere on an out of town trip, why not staycation. Initially, I didn't approve of this, as is, I still prefer going out of town, visiting places or enjoy the beach. But I have to consider that unlike me, most of my team mates are married with kids and has residence just within the metro. A staycation is perfect for their setup, after all, this is supposed to be a team building. For us as a team working on a common goal, I conceded, but I didn't  regret that I did.

Coron Underwater Part III | Barracuda Lake

CORON UNDERWATER | Barracuda Lake
Part III Underwater Adventure

Swimming in Barracuda lake is a surreal experience. The lake itself was named after the Barracuda's that lives in its depth, though these wonderful creatures often shy away from human contact. Barracuda lake itself is a famous sinkhole because it located on top of a volcanic crater, it is famous as a dive spot because at different water levels, the waters change. The top most layer is fresh water, while the middle part is like a hot spring, bottom lake floor is seawater, its an amazing phenomena that makes Barracuda Lake a keeper for divers.

Coron | Underwater Part II - Kayangan Lake

CORON UNDERWATER | Kayangan Lake
Part II Underwater Adventure

Coron Island is famous for its many lakes, most of it is sacred to the Tagbanua's which takes pride as having Coron as their ancestral domain. Being that most of its lake is sacred, there are only a few lakes that are open to the public. I bet, if one is to immerse in the culture of the Tagbanua's, they can open a lot of off beaten paths in Coron.

Coron | Underwater Part I - Siete Picados

CORON UNDERWATER | Siete Picados
Part 1 Underwater Adventure

Armed with Lumix TS3 Underwater Camera brought just 2 days prior to my trip. I still have that natural high of a kid having a new toy to play with. It did make a dent to my budget, but I was willing to make it an investment, I've saved up for it anyway and what's the use of trying to become a budget traveler without understand a few sacrifice along the road. All for the adventure.
