Capiz | At Home In Roxas City

CAPIZ | At Home In Roxas City
A Province In Focus

Roxas City, The Seafood Capital Of The Philippines. Quite a big tag line for such a quaint and peaceful component city in Region VI Western Visayas. I have to admit that I found it ridiculous as a kid, but of course, I spent all my childhood days encumbered in its embrace, the smell of salty tang in air near the beaches and estuaries is already married to my soul forever, but the tag line is something I didn't understand until I started to appreciate the aesthetics of this city, my home. It's been years then, it's now trying to live up to the name, being a major contributor in the country's Aquamarine Industry and home to a rich fishing grounds.

Aeriel view of Roxas City, over Arnaldo Blvd towards Brgy Bay-bay Roxas City, and overlooking the distant island of Mantalinga.

Leap Of Faith | Got Hit By Travel Bug

Got Hit By Travel Bug
Leap Of Faith | What Makes Traveling Worth It

Take the leap, maybe not be the apt word as a statement for why I travel. But travelling, overcoming boundaries and witnessing wonders afforded to those whose willing get out of their comfort zone, it's how travelling changed me.

Baguio | Holiday Getaway Trip

BAGUIO | A Holiday Quick Trip
Of Pine Shadows and Floral Gardens

Baguio City is an ever delightful place especially during holidays. parks, floral gardens, scenic mountainside, picturesque sunrise's and sunsets. This is a place where people tend to walk and enjoy the sunshine. A visit would feel useless for me if I can't trek the entire length and breadth of the famous session road.

Everyone would agree, Baguio is glorified for being the Summer Capital of this country because of the cool weather. But whether it's the dry season or not, I'd always brave a quick trip than spend my holidays or work leaves sleeping at home. A quick trip isn't always a luxury to me. I have to work to support my needs but from time to time when I get a chance for a Friday work leave or Holiday, Baguio is one of my solace.

Camiguin | Mt Hibok Hibok Hot Spring

CAMIGUIN | Mount Hibok Hibok Ardent Hot Spring
A Jump Off Site For Mountaineers And A Family Hot Tub.

Camiguin is a beautiful volcanic island province, much of its natural history is centered in violence of these natural wonders, and this island is a home to one of Philippines Stratovolcano and Dome Complex, the constantly monitored Mount Hibok Hibok.

Prior to this, I've only heard of Mount Hibok Hibok from Mountainers, although this is not the highest peak on the island, this volcano is famous because it is the most active though for now, it lays silent and the only signs of the presence of a deadly volcano for today are the hot springs, Ardent is just one of the six Hot Springs.

Sagada | The Road Through The Highest Highways

Sagada
On The Road To Sagada

The long drive from Baguio and spelunking adventure. May 2011
Sagada is my 8th destination for this year, easily one of the best.
I don't find the place romantic as what others would say about it.
But picturesque? super!
There's lot's of things you need to consider before visiting Sagada.
